The computer laboratory at Jinnah is equipped with state-of-the-art computing and communication devices including Pentium IV, Pentium D and Core 2 duo based computers. There are around 275 workstations along with Compaq Proliant and Xeon based Servers on a fast Ethernet (10/100/1000 Mbps) for smooth and reliable client/server computing.
The operating system layer is on Linux (Red Hat 8), Windows 2000, Windows Xp based clients and windows 2003 and Linux (Fedora) Based Servers. Students have access to the Internet Service with a couple of high-speed Metro (Fiber Optic) and DSL (Digital Subscriber Link).
The hardware laboratory is equipped with 30 MHz dual channel oscilloscopes, sweep function generators, logic probes and pulsars, power supplies, digital multimeter and digital Trainers. It also has Pentium Dual core 2.4 Ghz PC’s with 17 inch monitor screen for design and simulation for the electronic circuit.
Main Computer Lab
The University has a large computer lab equipped with Pentium IV, Pentium Dual core and Core 2 duo workstations linked with Fast Ethernet local area network (LAN) environment. This network contains multi platform (UNIX, Linux, Windows 2000 and Windows XP) clients, servers and high-speed Laser-Jet network printers, scanners and DVD writers. DCL connectivity through CISCO router is available for Internet and related services.
