Societies

  • MAJU Engineering Society:

The MAJU Engineering Society was established by the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in fall semester 2017 to provide engineering students with a platform to enhance their engineering-based skills. It provides a platform for students to indulge in co-curricular activities particularly engineering competitions. As a result, students have been able to design projects by making use of modern tech tools and devices. This society arranged its first National Level robotics and engineering competition, SPARCOM '18 in May 2018. Universities, colleges and schools from all over Pakistan, participated in this competition and it contributed in bringing MAJU's engineering program into the limelight.

Career

Career & Guidance

The degree program of Mohammad Ali Jinnah University is designed to make a student capable of being leaders in industry and society. Electrical engineering deals with applications of electricity, electro-magnetism and electronics. Electrical engineering encapsulates essence from many sub-fields such as Power generation and distribution, Industrial Automation and Control, Signal Processing, and Communications. The prospective fields for the future electrical engineers are emerging sustainable energy systems, as well as power generation and transmission systems. Moreover, the electrical engineers are equipped to invest themselves in design applications of motors, batteries and control systems. Interdisciplinary areas like biomedical engineering and robotics are also prospective areas of research and development in electrical engineering.

The most common career choices of Computer Systems Engineering graduates are: application software developer, computer hardware engineer and systems software developer. Additional positions of interest include: academic positions, government and industrial research positions, system innovation positions, component manufacturing positions and system integration positions
