The BS degree in Media with a concentration in Media Sciences is offered through, the Faculty of Business Administration and Social Sciences. In pursuing the degree, students will learn, observe, ask questions and test answers concerning the ways in which mass media messages make meaning in any platform, from tweets to television to big budget films.

The BS Media Science program is immaculately designed to fulfill the Media industry’s requirements in an evolving professional environment. It will offer the precise tools that enable students for professional practice in order to achieve their career objectives. The program will provide multitude of opportunities to students who desire to develop a career in Media. With focus on practical exposure, the attributes of this BS program will facilitate students in acquiring critical experience in which Media industry operates in Pakistan. Moreover, numerous professional seminars as well as conceptual and technical workshops will be conducted where top influencers and decision makers from the Media industry will be invited to publicize their insights. Via the BS Media program, we will empower our students to have multidimensional understanding of the Media sphere which qualifies them to deal with challenges and seek opportunities in their careers in leading Media organizations.

The Program Objective is to develop Media Sciences professionals with world class competencies and ethical standards. The aim is to provide opportunities for young professionals to acquire undergraduate academic degree along with professional expertise in Media Sciences.

  • The students of the BS Media Sciences program will master critical thinking and creative skills which will prepare them to enter a variety of careers.
  • This program will give them the essential skills to work in the corporate world where they will create content, analyze the reception of mass media messages and conduct a variety of media research.
  • The students will also gain understanding of the feasibility of their work in the contexts of visual, audio, textual and motion picture media.
  • The program employs cutting-edge technology and accessible teaching methods to provide an engaging learning environment that prepares the students for the fast-paced and rapidly changing media and communication industries. MAJU Media program is also distinctive because it gives students the opportunity to undertake a broad mix of subjects.

Eligibility

  • Higher Secondary School certificate or Equivalent securing at least 45% marks in aggregate.
  • Admission Test/NTS as per HEC Policy.

  • This is a 4 years degree program comprising of 8 semesters.

Final Year Projects and Internship

  • It is mandatory for every student to complete 3 Credit hours two Projects after the completion of 98 credit hours course work and an Internship after 4th semester.

Degree Requirements

  • Passing all courses totaling at least 130 credit hours and completing an Internship.
  • Obtaining at least 2.0 CGPA of 4.00.
