23rd March Celebration & All Karachi Inter Debate competition

Students gathered together to show Spirit, Passion, Talent and Patriotism for our beloved Country Pakistan at MAJU. To highlight the importance of Pakistan Resolution computer science department with the societies organized all Karachi Inter debate Competition on 22nd of the March ,10.00 a.m at MAJU AUDITORIUM. Around ten prominent universities students participated in this debate competition.

The resolution put up “Today’s youth represents thoughts of Allama Iqbal” was approved by the house with a thumbing majority. In all 18 students delivered speeches in favor and opposition of the resolution. According the decision announced by the judges Mohammad Ateeb, (NED) Zooma Sultan, (NUST) and Syed Iqbal Rizvi (Hamdard) Universities declared winners of 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions.

Veteran TV anchor Wasim Badami who was the chief guest on this occasion distributed cash awards, shields and certificate to the participant students. Addressing to the gathering Wasim Badami Said that he is very happy to see that our youth are fully aware from prevailing political situation in the country and looking for change in existing system. He said on the other hand in present scenario, we see that every worker supports his leader whether he is right or wrong which is not justified. He said it is responsibility of worker not to support wrong doing of their leader for promoting healthy political environment in the country. He said this situation reflects the thinking of religious extremists who thinks that those who do not believe in their faith about Islam are their enemy and they attacks on us. Wasim Badami said that it is a general trend in our society that we ourselves find reasons of our failures shifting the responsibility on others and never admit our own mistake.

Earlier addressing to the debate competition, Director, Students Affairs, M.A.Jinnah University Ahmer Umer said that we always encourage to our students for taking part in extra curriculum activities to demonstrate their talent besides providing them quality education. He said he is very much impressed by our youths after listening their thoughts provoking speech and their views about resolution for creation of Pakistan and philosophy of Allama Iqbal. He said that our youths are 60 per cent of our total population and playing a satisfactory role for the development of the country. He also congratulated to the organizers of this program MS.Fauzia Naz, Nazish Noman, Mousa Haider and Adil Qayoum for arranging a useful event on Pakistan Day celebrations.
