The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan promotes people-to-people exchanges between Japan and the various nations of the Asia-Pacific, North America, Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean regions. The Asian and Oceania regional component of this exchange program is called “#JENESYS2017”. *JENESYS: Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths. It’s was a 10 days’ exchange program And for this MAJU selected 4 students from computer science on merit basses (CGPA).
After an interview at Japanese Consulate Karachi 3 Students: – Azaz Ahmed (8th Semester) – Ali Raza Khatri (7th Semester) – Hasnain Kanji (6th Semester) were selected for this program and they traveled to Japan in 3rd and 4th week of January 2017. Students from other universities were also selected for this program. During the visit, students visited energy related facilities, local government attended lectures on various important subjects, and stayed with Japanese host families. The students along with their supervisor and representatives of Japan International Cooperation Centre (JICE) also visited the Embassy.
Ambassador participated in JENESYS 2016 Workshop where students from SAARC countries delivered presentations. In his speech the Ambassador underlined on the importance of people-to-people contact and learning from a society like Japan.
