What is the procedure to apply for admission?

You can apply online. Please visit https://admissions.maju.edu.pk/.

What documents are required at the time of admission?

No documents are required at the time of application submission. However, when you are selected for admission following documents will be required :

  1. Copy of all your testimonials.
  2. Copy of provisional certificate for result awaiting students.
  3. Copy of National Identity Card or Form “B”
  4. Four recent photographs.
  5. For foreign student NOC from:
    1. Respective Embassy.
    2. Ministry of Education.
    3. Ministry of Interior.

Does University entertain transfer cases?

Yes-but conditions apply. However, those who have been expelled from any institution on the basis of discipline, poor performance, or have been time bared, will not be entertained.

Does the University follow an open policy in awarding admissions?

Yes. University offers open merit admissions.

I appeared in Intermediate final exam but have not yet received the result. Can I apply for admission?

Yes. You can apply as a result awaited candidate. However, you are required to submit the result within 1 week of the result announcement.

If I failed to attain the required marks/percentage/CGPA as a result awaiting candidate, what will happen?

In such a case your admission shall stand cancelled.

Will I be refunded the fee if I fail to attain the required marks/percentage/CGPA as a result awaiting candidate?

The fee will be refunded as per University Fee Refund Policy which is available in the prospectus.

What is the syllabus of admission test?

The admission test will be based on mcqs of math, physics, English, general knowledge and other relevant subjects. However, an admission test for BS Engineering programs will be based on questions of math, physics and English only.

When is the final list for successful candidates displayed?

The result is normally placed on the website within three days after the final admission test is conducted.

What is the duration of Undergraduate and Graduate Programs?

The Maximum and Minimum durations for all programs are mentioned below:

Can I change the discipline after I have taken admission?

Yes. You can change once, only if you are eligible for the new discipline.

Does university provide weekend program for bachelors?

No.  University does not offer weekend programs for bachelors.

What are the requirements for overseas Pakistani to apply?

Equivalency certificate from IBC/HSC is required at the time of admission. Overseas Pakistani can apply online through the link https://admissions.maju.edu.pk/

Does university provide online studies to overseas?

No. University does not provide online/ E-Studies/ distance learning to overseas.

Can I take any course in summer semester?

No. New courses are not allowed to opt-in summer semester although you can improve or repeat the previous courses that have below average result.

What is the duration of each semester?

A semester consists of four to five months.

How many semesters are there in a year?

There are two semesters in a year; Spring and Fall semester.

– Bachelor’s (Marksheet, Certificate) – if you are applying for master’s program

UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS

Does university offer weekend/evening program for undergraduate program?

No. University does not offer weekend/evening programs for undergraduate program.

How many courses are there in each semester in undergraduate programs?

There are six courses in each semester. (18 Cr Hrs.)

What are the timings of undergraduate program classes?

The timing of our bachelor’s program starts from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (Mon to Fri). Some courses taught by industry experts may be scheduled on weekends as per the availability of the expert.

GRADUATE PROGRAMS

Are Students who have completed 14 years of education eligible to take admission in Master’s program?

Yes, but students will have to complete the bridging courses of 30 to 60 Cr hrs.

What are bridging courses?

Bridging courses assist in narrowing the gap between previous degree and current degree.

Are Students who have completed 16 years of education in non-relevant background eligible to take admission in Master’s program?

Yes – but students will have to complete deficiency courses which will be decided by the admission committee once you have successfully cleared the admission test and provided relevant documents.

What are deficiency courses?

Deficiency courses are those courses which are not previously completed satisfactorily or have not completed at all. And they are required for the program students enrolled in.

How many maximum and minimum courses I can take in a semester?

The minimum course load is of three courses and maximum is of four courses in a semester. (9 -12 Cr Hrs.)

What are the timing of Master’s program classes?

Evening:    6:15 to 9:15 (Mon to Fri)
Weekend: Saturday/Sunday = 08:30 to 9:15

PhD PROGRAMS

I have not done thesis in MS. Am I eligible to get admission in PhD program?

No. The requirement of PhD includes thesis, relevant background and minimum 3.0 CGPA.
